Vaclav Dvorek

Born in Czechoslovakia, Dvorek arrived in Northica in 1981 obsessed with texture and the feel of images. Seeking portraits and scenes that touch the eyes and demonstrate “tactile sight,” Dvorek pursues subjects similar to his friend and former roommate Will Binney.

Since the founding of the Czech Republic in 1993, Dvorek has made yearly pilgrimages to his native country, often staying for months at a time in Prague’s Old Town or along the river in the Lesser Quarter.
